Today I arrived to the city of Sydney, its my first time ever to set foot in the land of Australia or any other country beside China or Japan. I felt as though all eyes were on me even though they might have not all been. It was just the paranoia seeping in convincing me that people would stare at me because I looked different to the majority. I know many Asians live in Australia but I had also heard of the stories of how they were treated and how they weren't accepted by the whites. I hope that wont be an issue in the short while I remain here. I have already posted a letter to my father back in China informing him of my safe landing i'm just waiting for his reply back to tell me where to begin.

The sole purpose for my stay in Sydney was to establish a business which my father could run from China and it seems to me my work here is about to be done because today I met with a dealer who is looking to manage such a business. He had been the best so far out of all the other business people I met who were interested yet racist. Marcus the most recent dealer was different he was genuinely kind and interested in the idea and was looking forward to working with us. the last thing he said however was 'I'll have to check if I can work with you on this business but i am highly positive it will work out' . This left me confused and made me wonder if he too was racist and because it seemed as though there was someone who he had to answer to someone above him. This seemed strange to me because in a city like Sydney no one really controlled anyone everyone was in charger of their own lives or so i thought so

Marcus, today organised a meeting with me to meet someone who will be working along side him on this business deal. He wouldn't mention the name of the person and when I asked he replied it wasn't relevant. Odd I know. I am thinking if I should just cancel what ever progress I had with marcus and look for someone else who might be interested as things with Marcus and this man whose name i wont be told seem shady. its been
weeks however since i have been here and no one i met so far was interested in this merchandising business of my dads until Marcus came along. my mind is conflicted and i don't know what to do.

So I agreed with Marcus to attend this meeting with the suspicious man. Before the man arrived Marcus prep'd me informing that I should follow his lead and all will go good. The man arrived a little while later and sat in front of me in the diner we were meeting at. He took of his coat and didn't hint a nod or smile. His firm facial expression was intimidating and i sat there waiting fro him to start on the conversation after all he wanted to do business with me not I with him.He began Shang Khan is it? i nodded. ' I have looked into your proposal about your fathers company and so I sent Marcus to make a deal with you'. We spent an hour or so discussing matters of the business and finally I let them sign the documents naming them managers in our company. As I left the man whose name I now knew to be Bill said, " looking forward to doing business with you and your father Cheng Khan". This left me in awe because I had not mentioned my father's name this whole time and yet he knew his name. " you know him? " i asked. " yes we have a long history" Bill replied with a smirk. Did i just make a deal with someone who seems to have a negative history with my father? if so I am big trouble.
